Why Hardwood Blinds are the Most Preferred Choice Among Many Homeowners

Cedar is a 100% natural timber blind system, designed to appeal to customers who are seeking a natural looking Timber blind. Lacquered Cedar is almost maintenance free as you don’t need to apply any oils to the blinds, cleaning the blinds is the only maintenance. There are different qualities of Cedar blinds available in Perth, We choose to sell the best available to our customers at our everyday low prices.

We only use the best quality Cedar Timber, made from plantation timber. Cedar is much lighter than the “Timber Look” Venetians, so you can have blinds made up to 3m wide.

Cedar is coloured naturally. 46mm blades are available in natural Light-Medium tones or Medium- Dark tones. There is the option for a 90mm blade in white.

Features a stylish and functional trapezoidal shaped bottom rail. This shape provides better closure and allows the bottom rail to sit lower to the windowsill, therefore reducing light gaps.

Cedar venetians are lacquered with a UV-stabilized lacquer to reduce fading. The UV Stabiliser will slow down the fading of Cedar blinds but not stop the fading from the Suns UV completely. Cedar will bleach over time, but this happens gradually, depending on the level of exposure to the sun.

Cedar is a natural product therefore there will be some variation in the colour of the blades from piece to piece.

The lacquer finish used on these is designed for interior use only, they are not recommended for wet areas like bathrooms or laundry’s.

Cedar is used in blinds because it is a very stable timber. Warping or twisting rarely happens. Cedar is classes as a soft timber so if you hit the blind with force the timber will dent. Blades can be replaced if damaged but at a cost.

These blinds are manufactured to meet Australian Safety Standards and have Child safe cords. The Timber is a non-toxic product and can be cleaned using a duster or vacuum when necessary.

The Cedar used for our blinds is grown primarily in plantations in Canada and North America. It is relatively slow growing, but readily available. The plantation forests are managed for sustainability, ensuring an environmentally friendly and ongoing supply.

Motorised Wireless Roller Blinds: Easy To Use and Rechargeable!

Motorised Roller Blinds are extremely popular in Perth. They are a great option for blinds that will be used all the time as you don’t have to manually open and close them! Simply push a button on the Remote control and the blinds will movein the direction you want them to.

They are a great option for people who enjoy technology and want blinds that are easy to use! Wire free motors offer simple recharge of the batteries by plugging in the charger to the blind. You do not need to replace the batteries or worry about having spare batteries on hand.

The Advantages of Motorised Roller Blinds

There are many advantages to having Motorised Wireless Roller Blinds installed in your Home or Office and some of these include:

Eastto use:

Once your blinds have been installed and are programmed, the blinds are controlled via a remote which can be used to open and close the blinds as well as setting them to a favourite position for example: ½ way up or ¾ down.

Quite Operation: Having quiet Motorised Roller Blinds installed means you will not disturb people sleeping in other rooms or people in the same room if you want to open or close the blinds. When traditional Chain controlled blinds are installed they can be noisy to open and close due to the chain passing through the clutch and the tensioner on the wall.

The safety that they offer: Being completely wireless eliminates the hazard of cords and chains which traditionally hang from the blinds. This makes the environment safer for those with children and animals or even a great option for child care centres.

Motorised Blinds Last Longer: The most common issues with chain controlled Roller Blinds are that the clutch wears down over time and the chain that controls the blind may snap. Also when the chain is not installed correctly to the tensioner on the wall it can rub on the edge of the fabric causing the edges to fray over time. Installing Motorised Rollers can eliminate the before mentioned issues and this means your blinds will last for years to come.

If you require motorised rollers which can be operated wirelessly and if you want professional advice you need to call Perth Blinds by giving them a call at (08) 9039 2907. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and ready assist with your enquiries.

Roller Blinds and Its Various Uses

Roller blinds have come a long way since the Traditional Spring-Loaded Holland Blinds in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Roller Blinds in Perth are increasingly popular due to the style, practicality and heat/UV protection they offer.

They are now available in a large range of modern fabrics and varied control options to suit your needs.

Roller blinds have a sturdy Chain Control for easy use and some customers choose the Motorized Option which can be hard wired or battery operated for even easier use. The control chains come in different colors so matching it to your blinds or your décor will not be an issue.

The blinds are built and installed to meet Australian Safety Standards to keep you whole family safe.

These newly designed Roller Blinds are exceptionally built and are designed to fit in with the style and decor of your home or office.

The Dual Roller option provides great privacy during the day and block out at night. Making it the perfect option for those street facing windows.

Roller Blinds are custom made to suit your requirements and are available in a large range of colors, fabrics and textures.

The fabrics for the roller blinds are categorized into 3 different types and each one is ultra-sonically cut to prevent the edges fraying. These fabrics are lead free, fire retardant and are mould and mildew resistant.

BLOCK OUT – to prevent the light from entering the room and stop people looking in/out.

TRANSLUCENT– allows filtered natural light in the room. It provides UV, heat and glare protection and generally people looking through can only see shadows.

SHEER/SCREEN – Allows for filtered natural light to enter whilst reducing UV, glare and heat. During the day the person inside can see out whilst people from the outside are not able to see in. At night this fabric works the other way around and people from the outside will be able to see in if you have the lights on.

There is a choice for the way you would like the fabric to sit in your window too.

STANDARD ROLL – The fabric rolls close to the window – this creates less gap for light to enter

FRONT ROLL – the fabric rolls over the front of the roller tube.

The weight and pressure on the parts is increased with the larger blinds and we use Booster Springs to assist with operating the blind if it is oversize. This takes a lot of pressure off the mechanism and will ensure longevity.
